Ingredients:
- 1 cup beef brisket, cut into serving pcs
- 1 tbsp garlic, minced
- ¼ cup onion, chopped
- ¼ cup ginger, julienned
- ¼ cup onion leeks, cut into 1” pcs
- 2 pcs star anise
- 1 pc laurel leaf
- 1 tsp whole peppercorns
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp ground pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ cup soy sauce
- 1 cup water
- Cooking oil
Procedures:
- Heat about 2 tbsp cooking oil in a pan. Add the ginger, garlic, and onion. Sauté until the onion becomes translucent.
- Mix in the laurel leaf and whole peppercorns.
- Add the beef. Cook until meat turns light brown.
- Add the star anise, ground pepper, salt, onion leeks, sugar, water, and soy sauce. Mix well. Simmer on low heat for 1 hour or more or until the sauce thickens and the meat is tender.
- Serve with rice and soup. Enjoy your beef pares!
